If you use a sword to hit a mob multiple times within a short timespan you’ll notice the sword swings very few times compared to the sounds it makes, and it’s the same thing for the spear. It’s how the game has worked for years, spears are particularly noticeable because they actually change the animation to take longer unlike anything else in the game.

This happens for all items, not just spears. The game only allows the animation to reset after a certain cooldown has elapsed, and the spear happens to be more noticeable because the animation speed is modified for each tier through a separate component.

To deal with that, you must include the following component to your custom spear:
minecraft:swing_animation={type:stab,duration:6}

This will ensure the duration of the attack animation matches that of the default attack animation.

Hi! I work with resource packs daily and I cannot reproduce this issue on my device. Can you please check if the folders are in the correct location?

As of Preview 1.21.120.21, they should be placed in

%APPDATA%\Minecraft Bedrock Preview\Users\Shared\games

That is not the issue the report is describing. The report is about the textures of the paintings, not the general contrast adjustment.

The lighting conditions are the same, it's just the adjusted contrast.

All the VV textures were changed in the 1.21.90 folder, if you compare those you'll see a clear difference.
